This shoot with Justine was about creating images that felt honest, intentional, and stripped back, letting mood and presence lead, rather than location or clutter. While the shoot took place at her home, a big part of the post-production process was shaping the space to better serve the story we were telling. In the shed images, the original grey wicker seat was digitally replaced with a wooden bench that better matched the grit and tone of the shoot. Small but deliberate changes like this helped the image feel more grounded and cohesive. Other key edits included removing identifiable personal items to ensure the images felt timeless and location-neutral, allowing the focus to stay on Justine, the light, and the atmosphere, not the setting itself. The result is a series of images that feel raw but considered, with just enough polish to support the mood without overpowering it.
